Setting Up Network RTK for Precision Navigation
Network RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) positioning gives your D313 centimeter-level accuracy, crucial for surveying and mapping missions.
Before You Begin
You'll need:
- A 4G SIM card with data plan installed in your drone
- Network RTK service account from a local provider
- Server address, port, username, and password from your RTK provider
Onboard RTK Setup (Recommended)
This method uses the drone's 4G connection for RTK data:
- Open DMRGCS app and tap the settings icon (⚙️)
- Select RTK Settings from the menu
- Ensure RTK mode shows "Onboard" - if it shows "Ground", tap to switch
- Enter your RTK service details:
- Server address (provided by your RTK service)
- Port (typically 8001 or 8002)
- Username and password
- Tap "Get Point" to retrieve available mount points
- Select your nearest mount point
- Tap "Set" to save the configuration
Ground RTK Setup
This method uses your remote controller's internet connection:
- Ensure your remote controller is connected to the internet via WiFi or ethernet
- In RTK Settings, switch mode to "Ground"
- Verify your username and password are correct
- Tap "Get Mount" to retrieve mount points
- Select appropriate mount point
- Tap "Connect" to establish RTK connection
Verifying RTK Status
Check your RTK connection status in the app:
- "Network: Connected" confirms internet connectivity
- "Ntrip: auth successfully" confirms RTK service authentication
- GPS status should show "RTK (float)" or "RTK (fixed)" for best accuracy
With RTK active, your positioning accuracy improves from meter-level to centimeter-level, essential for professional surveying work.
