Troubleshooting Common D313 Issues
Even with proper setup, you may encounter operational challenges. Here are solutions to the most common D313 problems.
Cannot Take Off / Motors Won't Unlock
GPS Issues: Check that you have sufficient satellite signal (minimum 6 satellites recommended). Move to an open area away from buildings and interference sources.
Remote ID Problems: In the US, ensure Remote ID registration is broadcasting normally. Check the Remote ID status in flight safety settings - it must show "Normal" before motors will unlock.
Battery Problems: Verify battery voltage and connection. Short-press the power button to check battery level indicators. If voltage is too low, charge the battery fully.
Calibration Issues: If the drone behaves erratically, perform compass calibration in an open area away from metal objects and electromagnetic interference.
Unstable Flight or Drift
Compass Interference: Buildings with steel reinforcement, power lines, and electronic devices can interfere with the compass. Fly in open areas and recalibrate the compass if needed.
Propeller Problems: Check that all propellers are properly installed, undamaged, and rotating freely. Ensure CW and CCW propellers are on the correct motors.
Sensor Calibration: Access sensor settings in the app to recalibrate gyroscopes, accelerometers, and compass if flight behavior seems erratic.
Video Feed Issues
Connection Problems: Restart both remote controller and aircraft. Ensure the camera gimbal is properly seated and connected.
Signal Interference: The 2.4GHz transmission can be affected by WiFi routers, cell towers, and other electronic devices. Maintain line of sight and avoid high-interference areas.
Range Limitations: Maximum transmission range is approximately 10km in ideal conditions. Actual range varies with terrain, obstacles, and interference.
Battery and Charging Problems
Won't Charge: Verify you're using the correct charger (100-240V AC compatible). Check all connections and ensure the charging environment is within 0-60°C.
Short Flight Time: Cold weather reduces battery performance. Battery life also decreases with age and use cycles. Store batteries at room temperature and maintain charge levels between 22.2V-22.8V for long-term storage.
Battery Swelling or Damage: Never use damaged, swollen, or leaking batteries. Contact DMR support for replacement batteries only.
