Hey everyone,
I’ve been using the Field Ranger X50 for about three months now on my durian orchard, and I’ve learned a few things about optimizing spray patterns that might help others here.
- Nozzle Angle Matters: Adjusting the nozzle tilt by even 5° improved my coverage and reduced drift, especially during early mornings when wind is low.
- Flight Speed: I found 5 m/s is the sweet spot for my crops — faster than that and coverage starts to thin out.
- Altitude Adjustments: For taller crops like corn, I fly at around 4.5 m height. Keeps the droplets consistent without too much overspray.
- Battery Planning: The X50 drains faster when carrying a full 20L load in humid weather. I always carry an extra set so I can swap and keep the schedule tight.
Curious if anyone else here has experimented with custom spray routes? I’ve been thinking about mapping my own in the app instead of using the default pattern, but not sure if it’s worth the time.
Looking forward to hearing your setups and results!
