Starting and Stopping the Drone
Learn the correct procedures for unlocking, taking off, landing, and safely shutting down the Field Ranger X50.
Field Ranger X50: Starting and Stopping the Drone
Operating the Field Ranger X50 safely starts with properly unlocking the motors and ends with securely powering down the drone. Follow these procedures closely to ensure smooth flight operations.
Unlock and Takeoff
To begin your flight:
1. Perform the inward push motion on both joysticks simultaneously. This unlocks the motors and enables them to start spinning at idle speed after about 3 seconds.
2. Gently push the throttle stick upward to lift off. The drone will ascend according to your input.
⚠️ Warning: Never perform the outward diagonal motion while the drone is airborne. This action immediately stops the motors and will cause the drone to crash.
Flight Operation
Once airborne, you can maneuver the drone using the remote controller joysticks:
- Push/pull the throttle stick to ascend or descend.
Tilt the right stick to move forward, backward, left, or right.
Use the left stick to yaw left or right (rotate).
Always maintain visual line-of-sight and fly only in approved environments.
Landing and Motor Lock
To land safely:
1. Slowly pull down the throttle stick until the drone touches down.
2. After landing, keep the throttle stick down for 3 seconds to automatically stop the motors.
3. Alternatively, if needed, perform the outward diagonal motion on both joysticks to force an emergency motor stop.
Power Down Sequence
To shut down your system safely:
1. Turn off the drone’s power first by pressing the battery power button (short press + long press).
2. Then, power off the remote controller using the same press pattern.
🛑 Always follow this power-down order to avoid disconnect issues or data corruption in flight logs.

By following this standard sequence for starting, operating, and stopping your Field Ranger X50, you'll help prevent accidents and extend the life of your drone and its components.
