Field Ranger X50: Using the Smart Flight App

The Smart Flight App is your central hub for operating the Field Ranger X50. It connects to your drone via the remote controller and provides intuitive controls for flight tasks, data management, and system settings.

Here’s an overview of the app’s key features and how to navigate them.

Main Features

User Profile

Access your account information and complete operator verification. You must bind your drone to your account before it can be flown.

Operation Records

Review previous missions with playback tools and export records for documentation. Local logs can also be synced with the cloud backend for centralized management.

Device Info

Monitor the health of connected equipment, including real-time battery status, GPS, RTK, and sensor readings. Device-specific logs can be uploaded for troubleshooting.

Log Upload

If support assistance is needed, connect the controller via USB and upload system logs to help diagnose issues.

RTK Setup

RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) positioning allows for centimeter-level accuracy, critical for precise spraying and terrain tracking.

To enable RTK:
1. Go to More Settings → Drone Settings.
2. Toggle the RTK switch on.
3. Choose your signal source:

• Network RTK (NTRIP): Requires an active internet connection and credentials.
  Mobile Base Station: Follow the provided hardware setup instructions.
  4. Ensure the RTK status bar turns green for a successful connection.

> ⚠️ If RTK is disabled or disconnected, the drone will revert to standard GPS accuracy.

Task Modes

The app supports multiple operational modes to suit different field conditions:

• M+ Mode (Manual Enhanced): Allows for quick, semi-manual operation with heading lock and lateral stepping.
  AB Point: Set two points (A and B) to define a straight-line route. The drone sprays automatically between them.
  Route Mode: Plan and save complex field maps including boundaries, no-spray zones, and obstacles. Upload routes directly to the drone for fully autonomous operation.

Each mode allows you to adjust flight speed, spray rate, altitude, and other parameters before and during execution.
