DMR Technologies has announced plans to open a full-scale U.S. drone manufacturing facility in Lafayette, Louisiana — marking a major milestone in strengthening America’s domestic drone production and innovation capabilities.
According to a report by KATC News, the new facility will create more than 500 direct jobs with an average salary of $85,000, along with over 700 indirect jobs throughout the region over the next decade.

Operations are expected to begin by late 2025, following ongoing renovations and equipment installation. The project is supported by state and local partners focused on expanding Louisiana’s high-tech manufacturing sector and workforce development.
“This facility represents a major investment in American manufacturing and a milestone for DMR Technologies’ commitment to innovation, quality, and local industry,” the company said in a statement.

DMR Technologies partners with Air Heca, the drone arm of Heca Global, to distribute the Field Ranger X50 agricultural spray drone across South America.
